Matcha is the oldest variety of shade grown Japanese green tea ground into a fine powder, and has been part of Zen Buddhist culture for many centuries.
Unlike regular teas where the most nutritious tea leaves are thrown away along with the tea bag, Matcha green tea is mixed with water and consumed entirely. Thus, by virtue of “eating ” the tea leaves rather than just drinking the water from it, one consumes 10-15 times the nutrients found in regular green teas.
The anti-oxidant activity of DoMatcha is higher than that of blueberries, 100 times more potent than Vitamin C, and 25 times more active than Vitamin E. It contains over 70 times the anti-oxidants of fresh orange juice, and 9 times the beta-carotene of spinach.
DoMatcha also contains a good helping of fiber, as well as all the essential vitamins and minerals for optimal health. The effects of drinking this tea are immediately noticeable due to its ultra-fine consistency which accelerates entry into the body.
